Executive Producer - Three Chicks Media, Inc.
Deb grew up in a family that appreciated nature and together they camped from coast to coast canoeing, hiking, cycling, rappelling, orienteering and more. Her parents planted the travel bug that plagues Deb to this day, with youthful trips abroad for hiking and sightseeing in countries and continents all over the world, like Australia, Africa, Europe, Central America, and Asia.
Deb always loved volunteering in the outdoors and was saddened, at age 11, when the “Muckraking” project she signed up for at their local park was cancelled. Apparently too few others were inspired to pull on waders and rake the debris from the mud in the bottom of a drained pond.
As an adult, Deb made a career in television, first as a producer at several ABC affiliates and then with national talk shows and the CBS Network in New York. Despite working on great projects - many that involved travel, such as three Winter Olympics in the 1990s - Deb craved a more outdoors-oriented lifestyle and left New York for Seattle where she founded Three Chicks Media in 2001. Deb continues to enjoy the Northwest and has summitted Mt. Rainier, cycled the STP, and recently joined a women’s rock climbing group.
With a strong belief that outdoor experiences lead to confidence (and fun!), Deb is honored to be part of the Passages Northwest Board and to help provide growth and empowerment opportunities for girls.
