Conner Crowe

in

Conner was born in Bellevue, and has lived here in Washington all her life. She joined Passages in the summer of 2010 and in the upcoming year will be a junior at Newport High School. When not in school she enjoys cheerleading, playing soccer and spending time with friends. While at Passages, she will provide event planning, marketing, and program support as our TIPS Summer Intern

Ariel Johnson

in

Office Administrator

Ariel was born and raised in Moscow, Idaho, where she grew up racing snowmobiles and motorcycles. She currently is a Sophomore at Seattle University, and is an Accounting major and a Spanish minor.

She joined Passages Northwest in March of 2010 and hopes to stay here until she moves away from Seattle after graduate school. In her spare time you will find Ariel pole vaulting, hiking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Caitlin Sampson

in

Caitlin Sampson was born in La Grande, Oregon and majored in Environmental Studies and Education at Lewis & Clark College. In her semester abroad in East Africa, Caitlin discovered a love for international travel, learning new languages and immersing herself in other cultures.

Diana Caplan

in

When Diana was thirteen, she rode in an escaramuza (a kind of drill team on horseback) in charreadas (similar to a rodeo), side-saddle with a big dress that covered her horse and a big Mexican hat covering her head.

She received a BA in Outdoor Education from California State University and has worked with many organizations over the last 9 years. She has a love-hate relationship with her dream of starting an outdoor education program in her home town of Rosarito, Mexico. Diana carries a recording studio in her car, loves blood oranges, and is afraid of the dark.

Tryka D Tryka

in

Tryka grew up in New Jersey and was introduced to outdoor education in 2002 as a student on a North Carolina Outward Bound School 28-day trip. At the closing circle, Tryka asked, "Can I just stay?" Two months later, ze was working there. Tryka has led all-girls trips for Girl Ventures in San Francisco and the Connecting with Courage program in Boston and started working for Passages Northwest in 2008. Working with youth is zir greatest passion in life. Ze loves using experiential education to do anti-oppression/social justice work with brilliant young people.

Deb Haller

Executive Producer - Three Chicks Media, Inc.

Deb grew up in a family that appreciated nature and together they camped from coast to coast canoeing, hiking, cycling, rappelling, orienteering and more. Her parents planted the travel bug that plagues Deb to this day, with youthful trips abroad for hiking and sightseeing in countries and continents all over the world, like Australia, Africa, Europe, Central America, and Asia.

Michelle Rubesch, Treasurer

Michelle is inspired by the people involved with Passages Northwest and by their passion for helping girls explore and discover confidence in their abilities through outdoor experiences.

Sari M. Pascoe

in

Sari M. Pascoe - Executive Director

Sari Pascoe joins the Passages team as Executive Director bringing new energy and vision for 2010.

She comes to PNW with over two decades of experience in the field of education and over a decade experience directing and administering programs, and providing direct services in the fields of higher education, K-12, adult education, government, and non-profit organizations.

Chloe Fasoldt

in

Chloe Fasoldt is a 12 years old and was born in Seattle, Washington. She is a seventh grader at Salmon Bay School. Her favorite subjects are math, Japanese, and writing.

Apart from school, Chloe enjoys singing, snowboarding, gardening, and taking long walks in the rain. She is proud that she is able to express herself around anyone with out feeling like she has to change for them, or hold herself back.

Her friends describe here as passionate, kind, determined, willing, and capable.

Cecilia Reyes

in

Cecilia was born in Mexico and joined the Youth Advisory Board at the age of 15.

She attends Sammamish High School.

She enjoys playing basketball, listening to music and playing with other people. Her favorite color is purple.

She has a goal of finishing high school with good grades. She has a dream of going to Mexico to visit her parents and family.
