Girls on the Run - Life-changing, experiential learning programs for girls age eight to thirteen years old. The programs combine training for a 3.1 mile running event with self-esteem enhancing, uplifting workouts. YWCA Leadership Programs for Girls and Young Women - The YWCA provides a continuum of leadership programs for girls in elementary school through high school. These programs provide critical support for girls as they face the challenges of growing up in today’s society. Girls discover their personal strengths and ability to be leaders through a variety of different programs. These include in-school programming using the Girls Inc. curriculum at local elementary schools; the Young Leaders Using Technology (YLUT) program for girls ages 8-14; the YWCA START! program for high school freshman; and the YWCA Leaders In Progress (LIP) program for sophomore and juniors in high school. www.ywcaworks.org
