Girls Wilderness Spring & Summer Adventures
9 Unique Girls, 3 Talented Instructors, and the Great Outdoors
On a Girls Wilderness Adventure, you'll challenge yourself to do something new, make lifelong friends, and have fun! Our wilderness trips for girls ages 10 to 18 offer opportunities to rock climb, backpack, and sea kayak in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. If you have no previous outdoor experience, that's okay! You'll learn how to shoulder a pack, light a camp stove, rope up, and feather your paddle.
On your first day of a Girls Wilderness Adventure, you'll collect your gear, pile into a van with eight other girls and three instructors, and head out to your first campsite. Here you'll spend an afternoon with your group developing teamwork and leadership skills. You’ll learn how to cook using a camp stove, set up tents, and live in the outdoors alongside your new friends.
The journey really gets going as the group begins to learn the technical skills of rock climbing, backpacking, or sea kayaking. While in the wilderness, you'll also have time to explore your creativity and the natural environment; you'll have time to write, draw, and play games; and every evening, just before bed, you'll gather for a group circle to reflect on the courageous acts of the day. By the end of your adventure you'll have exciting stories to share and great friend to share them with.
