Join Passages Northwest for the Adventure of a Lifetime
At Passages Northwest, we believe strong girls are forged from powerful experiences. Since 1996, we have inspired over 2,800 program participants to discover courage within themselves through outdoor exploration. Whether rock climbing in Oregon, backpacking near Mount Rainier, or sea kayaking in Puget Sound — we offer unique, fun, and creative ways for girls to develop their creative, inquisitive, and physical courage, create dynamic relationships, and cultivate self-discovery.
In the Pacific Northwest, we are fortunate to have many opportunities to explore the beautiful wilderness around us. So why choose Passages Northwest?
- Don’t worry if you have never camped, hiked, slept in a tent, rock climbed, or written a poem. Our courses are designed to meet you at your skill level, and our supportive field staff is right there to encourage you. You choose the adventure, and we provide the rest.
- Each course is specially designed for you and the other participants.
- We are grounded in experiential education — everything from camping to cooking is a community activity from which you’ll develop teamwork and leadership skills.
- Whether you’re climbing to new heights, reaching breathtaking views only accessible on foot, or paddling your very own kayak, physical courage builds the confidence to face your fears and keep moving forward.
- Yoga, painting, writing, singing, theater games, art in nature projects, and dance help you discover your creative courage and the joy it brings to everyday life.
- Through exploration of the natural environment, we foster inquisitive courage and inspire participants to ask more questions about the world, themselves, and each other.
