What is Passages Northwest
At Passages Northwest we are dedicated to educating and motivating girls to develop leadership and courage through the integrated exploration of the arts and the natural environment. Our programs present opportunities for healthy challenge -- from rock climbing and sea kayaking to nature based art projects and improvisational activities. Through these challenges Passages Northwest promotes caring, responsive and creative leaders.

Passages Northwest, a non-profit organization, strives to build a supportive community. We welcome diversity of background, identity and opinion and work to keep our programs accessible to all girls: In 2006, over 70% of our participants received scholarships.

We emphasize respect in the relationships that we build, whether with program participants, parents or supporters. And we build respect for the natural environment and for individual expression. Lastly, we believe that the key to sustainability is stewardship – of our organization, of the girls we work with and of the environment.
